Dr. Nikolaos Perakis graduated with honors in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Bologna in 1994. He obtained his LMD – Licence en Médecine Dentaire – from the University of Geneva in 1998, followed by a Doctorate in Dental Sciences (under the supervision of Dr. Pascal Magne) in 2002, and a Swiss specialization in Prosthodontics (under Prof. U. Belser) in 2004. President-elect of the Italian Academy of Conservative and Restorative Dentistry (AIC), he is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED), where he also serves on the Membership Committee. He has lectured and conducted courses at leading universities in Italy and abroad, including Harvard University (Boston, MA), University of Southern California USC (Los Angeles, CA), Université de Strasbourg (France), Université de Genève (Switzerland), University of Athens (Greece), and the Universities of Naples, Genoa, and Bologna in Italy. Since 2002, he has been a teaching coordinator in the Postgraduate Master’s Program in Prosthodontics in Bologna (under Prof. R. Scotti), a role he currently maintains in the Second-Level Master’s Program in Conservative and Esthetic Prosthodontics directed by Prof. L. Breschi. Since 2022, he has also served as a faculty member at the Postgraduate School of Orthodontics at the University of Padua (Prof. A. Gracco). He is a speaker at national and international courses and conferences, and the author of several scientific publications.
