Papageorgiou Spyridon N.
Spyridon Papageorgiou completed orthodontic specialty training and a doctorate in Bonn (2016), followed by a Habilitation (Zurich, 2021), a CAS in Orthognathic Surgery (Zurich, 2022), an MSc in Research Methodology (Thessaloniki, 2022), and a Doctorate (Oslo, 2026). He has authored >220 peer-reviewed papers (>11,500 citations; h-index: 62; i10-index: 149) and serves as an editor, reviewer, or statistical advisor. He has secured research funding from DFG (2013), Greek/German State Scholarships (2015), EOS (2016), and IOF (2024, 2026). His honors include AAO Turpin (2012) and Dewel (2018) awards, EOS Houston Award (2017), BOS Chapman Prize (2018, 2022, 2025), and WFO Graber Award (2026). He co-authored clinical guidelines for EAO (2018), Osteology Foundation (2022), and EFP (2022). His research addresses orthodontic outcomes, treatment duration, side effects, meta-analyses, bias, open science, and systemic disease interplay with tooth movement.
