Anne Marie Kuijpers-Jagtman is a leading figure in orthodontics and a distinguished educator, researcher, and academic leader. She served as Chair of Orthodontics at Radboud University in Nijmegen. In retirement, she continues her academic work at the University of Groningen, and holds Adjunct Professorships in Bern, Jakarta, and Yogyakarta. She is a Past-President of the European Orthodontic Society. Driven by a strong commitment to postgraduate education, she co-founded the NEBEOP Network of Erasmus-based European Orthodontic Programs. She has undertaken extensive translational and clinical research in the field of orthodontics. In recent years, her major interests have been in 3D-imaging, and evidence-based care. She (co)authored over 450 publications, supervised 62 PhD theses, and has given numerous lectures in 42 countries around the globe. She has received several prestigious honors, including the AAO Lifetime Achievement Award for Research and Harvard’s Paul Goldhaber Award.
